Skittles Tropical is a chewy, fruit flavored candy produced and marketed by Mars, Incorporated. These are fruity bite-sized candy that has hard sugar shells with the letter S on it. This product contains mostly sugar and hydrogenated vegetable oil with fruit juice, citric acid and natural and artificial flavors. If you eat this candy, you feel as though you are eating the actual fruit itself. This comes in mango-tangelo, kiwi-lime, strawberry starfruit, banana berry, pineapple passion fruit.
Skittles were originally made in 1973 by an English company. They were introduced in North America in 1979 as an import candy. The domestic production of Skittles began in America in 1982. The skittles sold in the European Union markets are made in the Czech Republic. The skittles made in Victoria, Australia are distributed in Australia and New Zealand.
